B. Davis Scholarship
The deadline for the the B.Davis scholarship is only a few weeks away.

Our website was developed solely for the purpose of helping students locate and apply for scholarships. We are trying to improve the students’ chances for success. The site is free and we charge nothing for the information or the application.

GUTHRIE SCHOLARSHIP TO AREA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

(AVAILABLE ANNUALLY IN DECEMBER)

Two categories of scholarships are offered. One is for students who are planning a career in health care and one is for children of Guthrie employees who are enrolling in an accredited junior college, college or university.

MATTHEW BARRETT SCHOLARSHIP

The Matthew Barrett Scholarship fund awards scholarships to four-year college-bound Dryden High School seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement and interest in attending Penn State University.

Criteria:

The students eligible for assistance must be graduating Dryden High School seniors that intend to continue their education at Penn State University. Consideration will be given to academic achievement and financial needs.

Guidelines:

Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and dispersed in a single payment, that will be payable to the attending college.

Amount:

Each Scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $2000.00 annually.

Deadline:

The application deadline is May 15th.  The deadline is the date after which the application will no longer be accepted. The postmarked date will be used to determine mailed entries.

Decision Committee:

The committee will review all applications and be
responsible for choosing the recipient. The committee will be made up of past Dryden High School graduates, family members of Matthew Barrett as well as staff members of Dryden High School. The current committee consists of Bonnie Barrett, Mark Barrett, Joy Barrett, Phyllis Hilliard, AJ Humphrey and Karen Weaver.

Renewal Process:

This scholarship is not renewable. Only Dryden High School Seniors planning to attend Penn State University are eligible to apply.


Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.

CFCU SCHOLARSHIPS

Richard V.V. Stringham Scholarships

As a community based, non-profit financial institution, CFCU is committed to helping our youth succeed on many levels. With the costs associated with higher education nearly insurmountable for some, we are pleased to offer scholarships to aid our members.

High school seniors and nontraditional students planning to enter college for the first time are encouraged to apply.

Previous recipients have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, held leadership positions, and been active in their schools and communities.

Community Service Awards

As a non-profit community based financial institution, our passion lies in helping our members and community succeed. This award allows us to recognize your efforts towards that same goal! 

High school seniors and nontraditional students earning their GED in the spring of 2019 are encouraged to apply.

Previous recipients have demonstrated outstanding commitment to our communities, volunteering hundreds of hours of their time to local fire departments, hospitals, youth athletic programs, and not-for-profit organizations.

NYS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

 

Eligibility requirements:
Graduate from a NYS High School
Legal resident of NYS
Attend full-time at a NYS institution in the fall following graduation

Amounts:

(1) $1,500
(3) $500
*Renewable for up to 4 years of undergraduate studies

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MILITARY COMPTROLLERS

The American Society of Military Comptrollers, CNY Leatherstocking Chapter is providing a scholarship for high school seniors who demonstrate exemplary leadership abilities, an interest in the financial management career field, and academic promise. 

Awards from the CNY Leatherstocking Chapter: one $250 scholarship, one $200 scholarship and one $100 scholarship. 

Awards from the National ASMC: One $3000 scholarship, five $2,000 scholarships, and five $1,000 scholarships.

Winners at the $3,000 and $2,000 levels may reapply each year to receive $1,500 and $1,000 respectively for the following three academic years
The ASMC Scholarships are for students entering the fields of Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Operations Research, and/or Computer Science. 

 


FINGER LAKES FINNS SCHOLARSHIP

Finger Lakes Finns Scholarship Award is pleased to offer a scholarship for high school seniors. Awards of $700 will be offered to support and encourage promising scholars in the area who are of Finnish heritage or who have an interest in Finnish culture. 


GERALD J BUCKENMEYER FASNY VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Each year the Firemen's Association of the State of New York provides deserving graduates with the Gerald J Buckenmeyer FASNY Volunteer Scholarship. This award provides fifteen $1,500 scholarships annually.


ASSOCIATION OF FIRE DISTRICTS OF NEW YORK STATE, INC SCHOLARSHIPS

The Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York is pleased to announce that the “Ned Carter" Scholarship awards information and application package is now available online. These scholarships are available to New York State High School Seniors who will be graduating in June.


The student applicant MUST be related to a firefighter, be a firefighter, or be an explorer in a fire department, that is a current paid member of The Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York.

The Syracuse Chapter of CPCU Society is pleased to accept scholarship applications from High School Seniors planning to pursue a Career that can be found in the Risk Management and Insurance Industry.
